A Family Adventure in Japan: Travelling from Singapore to Kobe, Awaji, Lake Biwa, Wakayama, and Osaka

Today, we're sharing a Singaporean traveller's perspective on a family holiday to Kobe, Awaji, Lake Biwa, Wakayama, and Osaka in Japan.

As a traveller based in Singapore, I'm always seeking new adventures. Recently, my wife, five-year-old daughter, and I embarked on a journey to explore the cultural richness and natural beauty of Japan.

The Journey Begins: Kobe and Awaji Our journey began in Kobe, a city known for its vibrant street life and, of course, the world-famous Kobe beef. A short trip across the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge took us to Awaji, an island with beautiful landscapes and the mesmerising Awaji Yumebutai.

Lake Biwa and Wakayama Next, we headed to Lake Biwa, Japan's largest freshwater lake. The serene surroundings were a refreshing change from the bustling city life. Our next stop was Wakayama, where we enjoyed the hot springs and the stunning views from the Wakayama Castle.

The Final Stop: Osaka Our trip concluded in Osaka, a city that blends modernity and tradition. The highlight for our daughter was undoubtedly the Universal Studios Japan, while my wife and I enjoyed exploring the Dotonbori area and savouring the local cuisine.

Is It Worth the Trip? Absolutely! Each city offered a unique experience, making our family holiday a memorable one. The blend of culture, nature, and urban life provided a well-rounded travel experience.

Our family adventure from Singapore to Kobe, Awaji, Lake Biwa, Wakayama, and Osaka was an unforgettable journey. If you're planning a similar trip, we hope our experience can guide your itinerary.
