Parents, Don't Let Your Kid's Free S$100 Go to Waste! Your Guide to the SG Culture Pass

As a parent in Singapore, I'm always on the lookout for three things: free air-con, activities that tire out the kids, and a good deal. So let me remind you about something that ticks at least two of those boxes: the SG Culture Pass. If you have a Singaporean child, you have free money to spend on arts and culture, and with the year-end school holidays approaching, now is the perfect time to use it.

For those who missed the memo, the SG Culture Pass is a digital pass given to every Singaporean citizen upon their 21st birthday.  It comes pre-loaded with S$100 worth of credits that you can use to pay for tickets to a huge range of arts, culture, and heritage events and venues around the island.

The credits are valid for one year from the date of issuance.

How Do You Use It?

It’s surprisingly simple. The credits are linked to your Singpass account. When you're booking tickets online for a participating event or museum, you'll see an option to pay using the SG Culture Pass at checkout. You simply enter the amount you want to redeem, and the cost is deducted from your S$100 balance.

So, Where Can You Spend It?

This is the fun part! The list of partners is fantastic for families. You can use the credits to offset the cost of tickets to places like the ArtScience Museum, where the interactive exhibits are a huge hit with kids. Planning a visit to the National Museum of Singapore? The pass can cover entry to their special paid exhibitions.

It’s also great for live performances. Keep an eye on the Singapore Repertory Theatre's "The Little Company" or SRT's listings – they often have amazing children's productions like "The Gruffalo" or other classics. Using the S$100 credits can make a family theatre outing much more affordable. You can even use it for workshops at various heritage centres.

This isn't just a token gesture; it's a significant S$100 credit designed to get our families out and about, exploring the rich culture Singapore has to offer. Don't let it expire! Check your child's Singpass account, find a show or museum you've been wanting to visit, and make some amazing family memories.
